Netmetric’s CCNA – Service Provider (CCNA-SP) program is an instructor-led course and is designed for individuals providing them the ability to configure and implement baseline Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation networks. It focuses on the latest in Service Provider industry core networking technologies and trends. It covers both the Cisco exams, Building Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation Networks, Part 1 & 2 (SPNGN1 & SPNGN2)

Course Objectives

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand how networks function, and identify major network components, functions of network components, and the OSI reference model
  • Use the host-to-host packet delivery process, label issues that are related to increasing traffic on an Ethernet LAN and identify switched LAN technology solutions to Ethernet networking issues
  • Explain the reasons for extending the reach of a LAN and the usable methods
  • Describe the reasons for connecting networks with routers and how routed networks transmit data by using TCP/IP
  • Describe the function of WANs and the major devices of WANs
  • Configure PPP encapsulation, static and dynamic routing, and NAT
  • Understand different management tools that are used to manage a service provider network
  • Describe IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes
  • Describe switched and routed technologies
  • Understand MPLS, Multicast and VPN Technologies
